And also...
Not to mention...
That being said, I think my night with the kiddies will seem much longer than usual, but not so bad considering what will follow.
But I'm not there yet and I need to remind myself to stay in the here and now... Must focus on the kiddies first. For those who don't know, which is most of you cause I haven't told you, I work in a detox facility helping drug addicts and alcoholics get clean and sober. I'm sure most of you at least know someone that has been affected by addiction, so you know what kind of drama they create in their world. Now multiply that drama by 37 and that's my job. I have to admit, it does not always seem fun, but it's NEVER boring that's for sure. I'll share some of those stories another day. Well that's it for now.
Here's hoping all your faces have smiles on them, cause I'm quite sure mine will

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you people really enjoy cruising. What's so exciting about living on a big ship for a week, relaxing and eating your hearts out. I don't understand it.
ReplyDeleteI'm only joking because last year Mary Lou and I spent a wonderful week on the Carnival Dream with your parents. They are wild and fantastic people. Charlie and I have this battle with Christmas decoration and I'm having a great time and Bee, I just love this wonderful lady so, enjoy your cruise but make sure that you don't eat to much as if you're going to listen to me. Have fun Charlie 2. Man you two sure look like twins. Ha,ha,ha.

Chuck, have a wonderful time on the cruise, and please give Bee and Charlie an extra hug from me. I live in "Podunk" and we sure do miss them up here. (they don't miss the snow that is falling right now, though!)
ReplyDeleteSorry you aren't excited about the upcoming cruise. Bwahahahahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI know all about addiction. I worked in a jail for 25 years. I know all about the drama too.
Have a terrific day. :)
"Focus on the kiddies" - Do you have children?
ReplyDeleteoboy oboy oboy obooooooy! I'm so excited for you all! And totally wish I were going! My cruise is in 51 days!
ReplyDeleteThree of my four brothers have battled with alcoholism since they were much too young to even think about having a drink. I went to my first Al-Anon meeting when I was 16. They've all been through countless rehabs and programs and have never come near as far as you have. They've all done jail time and one of them is in prison right now, for something really dumb. Long, sad story. His parole hearing is on the 21st. We're cautiously optimistic.
Have a marvelous time! Dud. Of course, you will! :D
ummm... that should say Duh... not Dud.
ReplyDeleteHello Cousin Chuck!
ReplyDeleteWe are followers of Auntie Bee's and she mentioned that you have a blog. So we decided to stop over.
Is very hard but admirable work that you do! We can't wait to get to know you better.
Have a fun cruise!
